Diary of a Kitchen Remodel – In the Beginning

For the past six weeks or so I’ve been working on making decisions for remodeling my kitchen. And the decision making has been hard work!

I’m good with function but not good with design. I can visualize how organized and efficient the kitchen will be. I’m struggling with visualizing what style and color the floor should be, which granite I like best, and what color and style I should get for the back-splash. At least we’ve narrowed the cabinets down to a style and color (white). Now we have to figure out what kind of handles and knobs will look good.

Where Has All The Middle Ground Gone?

Do You Pack Light For Vacation?

Are you planning on traveling this summer for vacation? I’ll be heading up to the east coast to see my granddaughter again. It’s hard to believe she will be 4 months old by then.

Ocean City, MDWe’re going to spend a few days at Ocean City, MD. My son was there on business a couple of weeks ago and took this picture on his way back home.

I plan on packing light. This is a summer vacation and I’m more concerned about having fun (and playing with my granddaughter) than having a perfect outfit for every occasion.

Incomplete Projects/Tasks Are Mind Clutter

Summer is almost here. Many schools have already finished for the year and many more will do so in the next couple of weeks. Because of our change of routine during the summer months it’s natural to not want to have too many projects left incomplete.

During the winter and spring I usually have many projects that I want to get done. I’m sure you do too. After all isn’t that what Spring Cleaning is all about?
